Domaracki leads group of Yankee's named to Horizon Summer Series All-League Team

August 23rd, 2007:  The Horizon Summer Series announced its All-Series 2007 Baseball Team and  5 members of the Maxim Yankee's were honored in this years selection.  Brendan Domaracki was the lone Maxim Yankee to make the First Team.  While Kurt Wideman (IF) and David Stringer (P) were voted on to the Second Team.  Jeff Van Doornum (OF) and Steve Fischback (P) received Honorable Mention honors as well.                      

Jeff Giacomini (Humboldt Crabs) was selected the Player of the Year while Grayson Adams (Yuba-Sutter) was selected the Pitcher of the Year.  Matt Nutter of the Humboldt Crabs was selected the Manager of the Year.   Along with these honors the Yankees finished a team best 9th place in the country at the NBC World Series and won the Engelken division of the Horizon Summer Series. 

Domaracki paced the Maxim offense with a .327 average in 101 at bats.  He also lead the team in doubles, RBI's and total bases.  Kurt Wideman batted .315 with 6 doubles and 20 RBI's while Jeff Van Doornum hit .306 with 5 doubles and 20 RBI's.  On the mound David Stringer and Steve Fischback lead the pitching staff.  Stringer earned Second Team honors by posting a 1.91 era over the course of 37.2 innings pitched.  He gave up 28 hits with 5 walks and 33 strikeouts.  Fischback lead the pitching staff in innings pitched with 56.1 while only giving up 39 hits with 29 walks and 51 strikeouts.
